Please pay close attention to the instructions below, then follow these steps to submit your manuscript to the journal:
Step 1
Download the recently revised Author Checklist. It is not necessary to meet all style requirements when you first submit a manuscript. However, your manuscript should follow the standard outline of contents.
If your manuscript is accepted, it will need to conform to the journal's style and formatting requirements as detailed in the Author Checklist. Not conforming with these requirements will result in a delay in publication of your article.
Recommended article length and content -- please modify your manuscript before submission to fit these requirements:

*This means you may submit an article with a combined count as listed. In other words, if 4 tables/figures are allowed, you can submit 3 figures and 1 table, or 2 figures and 2 tables, etc.
Step 2
Collect the following information:
- The full title of the manuscript
- All authors' names and affiliations.
- Determine whether part or all of your manuscript has been published previously elsewhere, other than in conference proceedings as an oral presentation or poster. The journal does not publish articles that have been published elsewhere, except in very limited situations.
- Determine whether all authors on the manuscript had full access to all relevant data.
- Determine whether the text of the manuscript was reviewed by a sponsor prior to submission.
- Assemble all the computer files that are part of your manuscript, including the main text, tables, figures, and an optional cover letter to the editor. When you first submit a manuscript to N&TR, it should be in Adobe Acrobat PDF or Word, with tables and figures embedded in the manuscript. You will be asked to upload the manuscript file, an optional cover letter, and any additional files during the submission process.
- NOTE: If your manuscript is accepted for publication, the journal will need the files in your final version to be separated, with separate manuscript file, figure file(s), and table file(s). See the Author Checklist for full details.
- Determine any potential competing interests for all authors, including employment and consultancies for the authors and their family members.
Referring to the Author Checklist, format the manuscript so that the sections follow the standard outline in the checklist.
Step 3
Submit your manuscript. Please enter names and affiliations for all authors. Please do not enter an email address with spam protection that requires senders to authenticate their messages in a reply message. Using this type of protection will prevent you from receiving important email about your manuscript, since some messages are automated.
